Chimelu
Blandin

Outside Back · 6'1" · Junior
Target: Trinidad & Tobago National Team

A 6'1" ambipedal outside back — equally strong off both feet, so he locks down either flank with no weak side to attack — with the length and recovery to defend wide and the engine to get up and down the line. And he did it for one of the most dominant defenses in the country: Cortland finished 4th nationally in shutout percentage and 6th in goals-against average, with a school-record 8 straight clean sheets. Tournament-tested, undefeated club champion, Dean's List.

Why Grab Him

the scouting case
Two-footed (ambipedal)
Equally strong off both feet — comfortable at left back or right back with no weak foot to exploit. Rare two-way flexibility that lets a coach plug him in anywhere across the back line.
Wins where it's hardest
Started for a back line that finished top-6 in the nation in both shutout rate and goals-against. He defends in a winning environment, not padded stats on a bad team.
Tournament-tested
Played all three NCAA Division III playoff games and started a national-tournament third-round match. Trusted in the moments that matter.
Durable & dependable
1,061 minutes and four full 90s as a sophomore — a fullback coaches leave on the field for the whole match.

Mentality & Make-up

the intangibles scouts sign
Left on the pitch
1,061 minutes and four full 90s — the consistency and conditioning of a player a coach trusts for the whole match, week in and week out.
Athletic edge
A tested 36" standing vertical and 21.72 mph top speed — recovery pace to defend space and the spring to win balls in the air most fullbacks can't reach.
Student of the game
Dean's List honoree and Business Finance major. Coachable, composed, high-IQ — a low-risk character bet on and off the field.
Winner's standard
Came up through a First Coast Athletics side (UPSL Div. 1) that won its league undefeated. He's used to winning environments and high standards.
Driven by a bigger goal
Working toward a Trinidad & Tobago national-team call-up. The internal motor that separates good from great — he's chasing something specific.
